Before I left the church where I gave my everything for 10 years the pastor said “some people think they irreplaceable but as soon as they leave, there are dozens ready to fill their spot.” That’s a capitalistic corporation. In real communities no individual is replaceable.

I know people are choosing to walk away from their faith in Jesus, and I’d bet it’s mostly because of abusive Christians/theology, but I always liked how @rachelheldevans said she kept following Jesus because His story was the story that still inspired her. I feel the same way.
