There’s nothing more rewarding as a leader/manager than when one of your employees gets promoted. It really makes you feel like you’re making a difference. Especially when there has been multiple within the same year.

@Waydigitty That makes sense for the first couple years of his career, but as a head coach you still should have some tree he doesn’t even have assistants who have been hired to coordinator roles

@monte_lyons I understand him not having a coaching tree since he’s a defensive minded coach. Offense is king nowadays. Also not sure if Tomlin has complete control in those decisions. Either way, they need to do much better with the next hire.

I’ve been a Tomlin fan for a while but, his continued employ of Matt Canada and his inability to get his teams up for games against lesser teams is unacceptable. He’s gotta go at the end of the season.

@Waydigitty Yes he has to, but his last two hires have been just “yes men” he has no coaching tree after almost 2 decades as a head coach. So I don’t see that trend changing, hopefully I’m wrong but the trends don’t indicate it’s there for him.

@monte_lyons He has to now. You need a capable OC and players to execute. With no legit franchise QB to lead the offense, everything else has to work

@monte_lyons I don’t subscribe to that line of thinking. These players are professionals who get paid a lot & need to execute. Tomlin and Rooneys need to go out and get a capable OC next season tho.

Matt Canada is a horrific combination of being not only the worst, but also the most predictable playcaller in the NFL

I don't know what it is about August/September that the world likes to crush me like this, but it would be really cool if it could stop. Recently found out that my dad may have pancreatic cancer. But they can't biopsy it for 3-5 weeks because of inflammation in that area.
