Per TMZ, CM Punk smacked a fan’s phone out of his hand after the fan recorded AJ Lee and Bayley sharing a private moment without their consent. My take? That fan had no business recording them in that moment. Being famous doesn’t mean you lose your right to privacy. At the very least, you let them have their moment, then politely ask for a photo. If they say yes, great. If they say no, you respect it and move on. I’ve been told no before. It’s not a big deal. You respect it and keep it pushing. Now, would I have smacked the phone if I were Punk? No. Do I understand why he did it? Absolutely. It was a natural reaction to having his privacy crossed. The fan even apologized because he knew he crossed a line. People need to stop acting like being a fan means you’re entitled to someone’s personal space. So yeah, neither side handled it perfectly. But if I had to pick a side, I’m leaning toward Punk. The fan crossed the line first, and Punk escalated it. Hopefully WWE or TKO doesn’t punish him for it.
