I’ll rather have a team without Bruno, where everyone scores and assists than have a team where Bruno is the hero. (Bruno is chasing an assist record that’s why I’ll say cut him some slack.) But, that type of football is not sustainable. Check Barca, goals and assists comes from; Yamal Fermin Lopez Raphinha Dani olmo and Rashford etc, making the game structure not reliant on one player to function. Check PSG, goals and assists comes from; Dembele Vitinha Joao Neves Doue Kvaratskhelia Nuno Mendes etc Check Bayern and also Mancity. Then… check Real Madrid dependence on Mbappe. Then check Manchester United dependence on Bruno. What this does is that the whole team suffers while one player shines. Mark Mbappe or Bruno out and the team can’t play. That’s just doom awaiting or disaster looming.

Take it or leave it, if you love Manchester United ❤️⚽ and love Michael Carrick, you will advise we should look for a good and a world-class manager. I'm just saying and I'm realistic about this. 😊

If you’re watching this PSG v Bayern game and think Carrick should be the long term manager, then you just want #MUFC to remain in mediocre. We should be doing everything to sign Enrique and not taking no for an answer.

I want the people who want Michael Carrick permanently to genuinely imagine this scenario. Premier League on the weekend. Champions League midweek. Another Premier League game. Carabao Cup. Then another league game. Week after week. Now imagine trying to survive that schedule playing this kind of football. Waiting for counter-attacks. No sustained possession. No real structure. Just transitions, moments and reacting. Do people seriously think that’s sustainable at the highest level? And the worrying part is… It’s not even about the players anymore. We have enough technical players to keep the ball for more than 10 seconds. You can argue athleticism all you want, but teams like FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain dominate games because of structure and positioning. That comes from the coach. Even if you change the midfielders… Even if you change the attack… The football will still look the same. Because this is the blueprint. And if this is the long-term direction of Manchester United… Then we’re building a team to survive games - not control them.
