@notstuartbuck The writer should make the race and gender of characters clear upon introducing them in the story. My guess is that it's a rule because white people will describe the nonwhite characters and have white defaults. Same with men and non-men characters.

I dunno. Y'all know that Salesses and I sharply disagree on empathy, but re: that document everyone's making a to-do about: with the exception of point one, none of that is really any different than anything I had to agree to in my intro writing workshops in college. *shrugs*

the film vs. the photos

There's so many of these 'strange town with many mysteries' shows nowadays and I tend to watch one episode of each one, decide they are shit and move on. This one's a bit different. It plays its hand within the first ten minutes and focuses on the people a lot more. It's good.

@KeersteeMack Oh yes definitely. Godzilla is what you'd call 'an idiot ball' whereas Kong is more sensible and wiry.

@japecake Yep. South Park is still very funny (it'll never reach S11 heights again but it's still good). I saw baseketball when I was probably a bit too young but loved it

@notstuartbuck I've laughed like crazy at most of what Matt and Trey have ever done, and I continue to marvel at what they're still able to get away with after all this time. Try to find the "making of" short documentary for Team America (probably a DVD extra). It's fascinating and hilarious!

worked a bit more on this. I wouldn't normally choose these colors but the paint was left over from a community art project, so I'm pretty happy about being able to repurpose it for a little fun project.
