tl;dr, Disney used to invest in mid-budget films through their subsidiaries because they were low-risk/high reward. Then they bought Marvel and Star Wars and everything suddenly had to be a blockbuster, so the Ella Enchanteds and Sky Highs get dumped on Disney Plus now.

One underrated mega stupid aspect of modern streaming is DRM grading it for 4K Dolby Vision, but 90% of people will watch it on chrome super compressed in 720p because of DRM so they see the "grey filter" What exactly is the point of DRM anymore? other than ruining the quality

Unsurprising opinion to me. A common sentiment with oldguard Spider-Man fans (boomers and Gen X) is that they tend to hate college Peter and hate it when he's actually successful and dating Mary Jane. Spider-Man is a tale of misery to them. If you end it here, at issue 38, there is no Mary Jane face reveal, no Green Goblin identity reveal, Peter's friends are not as fleshed out. There are so many good stories past this point. But the issue is, Peter becomes increasingly happier, more successful, he becomes an adult. And unfortunately, Peter growing up seems to be the issue with oldguard fans. It's why the marriage was retconned. This kinda thinking with this generation of writers is why Spider-Man will continue to be stagnant with other spider people taking his place. Because status quo is god, and Peter Parker cannot grow up. But the irony is, the strength of Ditko-Lee and Romita-Lee Spider-Man was that Peter *was* growing up. To end his story before this, or to reverse his inevitability of adulthood (which, frankly, I like adult Spider-Man more), ensures the character will remain forever stale.

@ImplausiblyJ yeah MP3 makes duel mini games and chance time better, and basically everything else not as good lol it -has- a story mode, which is more than can be said for the previous games!

@notthemarsh I remember having a lot of fun with the Duel mode as a kid, but I will admit that it's definitely all nostalgia there haha And YES, it does! I will get a couple arcade matches done through the NSO online version, it's such a good game.

I will forever be judgmental of Gamecube love depending on WHICH games are being praised. Animal Crossing? Metroid Prime? Resident Evil 4? Zelda? yes! anything with "Mario" in the title? hmm......

@ImplausiblyJ I recently replayed Mario Party 3 having a lot of nostalgia for it and the board designs were pretty bland! I'm playing Soul Calibur 2 for the first time besides quick games at a friend's house, and it kicks ass!

@notthemarsh I'm a big MP3 fan, but I like where your head is at. My childhood GC was a Melee and Soul Calibur machine, mostly, so now I'm going back to the catalog and enjoying my time with games I didn't play as a kid.
