"Dissociative identity disorders are caused by severe trauma!" No. They're caused by REPETITIVE trauma. Everything is traumatic to a child, severity won't matter to a 7 year old. It's the repetitiveness keeping the personality from forming over time

While im on the topic of CDDs and such i really hate it when people are like “you have to have X amount of trauma to be a system” and like…No. Trauma is subjective. Its based on how your brain processes it.
