It actually looks good on him that he would rather leave than play your principal’s politics of vote buying and rigging even though he has the money and support to play that game. A man with scruples shouldn’t accept the challenge of a well known and publicly unscrupulous challenger. Why accept to play dirty with a pig, or play adultery with a prostitute? Even if you eventually win, you actually lose.

The situation is clear: both will deputise for each other, whether now or in 2031. Kwankwaso will contest for the presidency in 2031, and he'll ask Obi to deputise for him—just as Obi is asking Kwankwaso to deputise for him now. I hope that when Kwankwaso seeks Obi’s support in 2031, Obi will return the same respect Kwankwaso will shows him in the 2027 election, where he may serve as his running mate. Whether it’s KO or OK, both scenarios could happen at different times. Nigeria will be OK…, KO?
