@johntpierson @Thomas__Mahon One senior dev that I follow says one day: "Today we write code to other people, not for computers". For Revit and AutoCAD development, in most of cases performance it's not a major concern.

@Thomas__Mahon I don't know if one of those works, but A is more legible.

@onBIMTechnology Yep, although Rhino license's are quite affordable. You should also look at Rhino Compute - its open source and does provide some access to Rhino's geometry library but I've not used it so can't comment on how limited it might be or if there are costs for tokens

#RhinoCommon is the best API to use if you're an AEC dev. All our Revit and AutoCAD plugins have Rhino.Inside in the tech as the faster development time & reduction in long-term maintenance needs outweighs the license costs by orders of magnitude

@Thomas__Mahon even if I only need geometry stuff ?

@onBIMTechnology You've got to have a Rhino licence otherwise Rhino won't launch. RhinoCommon has a lot of dependencies so installing it is the way to go vs distributing all the application files with your plugin.

@Thomas__Mahon A doubt, just as an assumption at first. Is it possible to deploy the Rhino dlls along with the plugin so that Rhino not needs to be installed? It's legal ?

@onBIMTechnology Bingo. Same rules as the Revit addin; no need to deploy any Rhino assemblies with your adding, the end user simply needs to install Rhino and Rhino Inside. We've developed a huge enterprise application for Revit and its written almost entirely targeting RhinoCommon.
