@TimSweeneyEpic What happened to game companies passing the saving from the better cut on to consumers? Square took bribe money to only sell FF7R on PlayStation, then only on EGS, and is also trying to raise game prices on PC.

@ANordicRaven @CultureCrave My main issue is that a lot of times the only way to get to try a game is by buying a copy. Steam might have a decent refund policy, but if you buy a game on console and don't like it there is no refund.

@CultureCrave I don't understand how people arent getting his point. He clearly said if you dont even try the game and play it yourself then your critique is worthless. This stands for everything else in life, why would you listen to a movie review if they havent watched the movie.

Like I don't think buying a console is worth it because of how restrictive what you can do with it is. A game that includes Denuvo is only worth $10 until it gets removed. Because I shouldn't be punished for paying

@RaceCrossWorlds Would have bought a copy already if it wasn't for Denuvo. Will buy a copy once Denuvo gets removed, the game goes on sale for $10, or is included in a Humble Choice bundle.

@avoblackfyre @PlayStation @TheMissAtomic @Xbox that platform or store front any better. People should play on the platform / use the store front they want because they choose to. Not because a company has locked a game there to try and force people to use it.

@HARDHEAD7WD No. Not at all. But likewise, 1) there is a difference between an informed and uninformed opinion and 2) playing a bunch of video games in front of an audience does not, in and of itself, generate an informed opinion. But sure, keep anime gif'ing bud. Easier than thinking.

Final note on DLSS5: Will folks PLEASE stop listening to influencers who have never made a video game in their lives tell you how video games should be made? They may make fun content. They might be fun to watch. But just because they are popular doesn't make them right. I watch a lot of YouTube, and I certainly don't go around telling folks how to make good YouTube videos.

@53gaDr3amca5t So you are saying that you mostly play AAA titles and there hasn't been much creativity in the AAA space since the X360/PS3 days? Sounds about right. That's why the AAA space is near a crash out and indies are doing so well.

Take: the Seventh Gen cannot be retro because games made to this day play often exactly like games made back then (with some exceptions).

@SternabR6 @HUN2R A lot of people are tired of extraction shooters and GAAS stuff. Look at Sony. They had their hit with HD2, got greedy, set a bunch of money on fire with Concord, still went ahead with Marathon, and are working on that Horizon GAAS title that is mass disliked.

@SternabR6 @HUN2R This could all be avoided if companies where more open, honest, and upfront with what they were working on as they were working on it. Take feedback as things progress and work towards a game people actually want to play.
