NYS law makers have put regulations on PBMs but they are still not enough. Our local pharmacies and patients are suffering and calls for help are being left unanswered. We must keep fighting and @GovKathyHochul must act now.

NewYork’s independent pharmacies are in jeopardy of going out of business due to extremely low reimbursement rates by PBMs. @GovKathyHochul has signed into law key elements of the Pharmacy Rescue Package, but we must continue to fight for our patients, pharmacies, and families.

Guess that's their fault though for operating pharmacies that serve their communities year-round rather than trying to build football stadiums that host 10 games a year, right?

Two things happen now. Pharmacies can either stop dispensing medications they're losing money on in order to stay in business, depriving vulnerable patients of access to those medications. Or they keep dispensing them at a loss until they go out of business, also reducing access.

Pharmacists got screwed in the State budget because the Governor thinks Fee-for-Service is too expensive. But New York is not paying pharmacies for the medication they're dispensing to Medicaid patients, which means it's not really New York's money in the first place...

New York to pharmacies: Drop dead.

The year’s biggest slap in the face was the one dealt to @NY_Pharmacists by @GovKathyHochul when she went back on her word and failed to include Fee-For-Service parity in the 2023 budget. 5,300 pharmacists and 7 million Medicaid patients will remember in November.

@GovKathyHochul is taking care of the Bills but not those who dispense the pills (and give vaccines) in the state budget. I guess she can tell patients to watch some football when they lose access to essential health services in their communities?
