In the manufactured fervor over antisemitism on campuses (ie students yelling ‘from the river to the sea’ or ‘free Palestine’) we have allowed the fomenting of a fire of Islamophobia & anti-Arab bigotry that accepts & spreads Arabs/Muslims as inherently violent & threatening. All in defense of a genocide. We have seen a Palestinian child stabbed to death, three Palestinian students shot; we have seen professors lose their jobs for advocating against genocide; administrations forgoi no investigating chemical attacks on pro-Palestinian students, law professors assaulting a protesting hijab-clad student and now hijab-clad students losing one of the highest honors bestowed on a graduating student.
