Britney Spears will reportedly not attend her May 4 court hearing related to her DUI case. She is now reportedly in an out-of-state treatment facility and is expected to remain there for at least 90 days. The pop star had been scheduled to appear at Ventura County Superior Court after being pulled over in March for erratic driving and speeding on the 101 freeway in Newbury Park, California. At the time, her representative called the incident “inexcusable” and said she intended to take the necessary steps to comply with the law and focus on her well-being. Sources say Spears hesitated for weeks about entering rehab but was ultimately persuaded by her sons, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline. The longer stay reflects a growing view that traditional 30-day programs are often not enough to produce lasting changes in behavior and lifestyle.
