Sheffield Steelers have two players named in the Great Britain squad for the 2026 IIHF World Championships in May Robert Dowd & Cole Shudra are in the 25-man squad, along with Maltby’s Liam Kirk GB will face Canada, Sweden, Czechia, Denmark, Slovakia, Norway, Slovenia & Italy

Disappointed to see Liam Steele not included in the squad. There aren't many GB D-men that can move the puck and skate like Steele but having just made his EIHL debut, I can't say it's shocking to see him left out

@GBHockeyFuture As an NIHL fan Steele has been outstanding for Dogs this season. He has size, plays great D and carries the puck so well. Certainly (IMO) a future GB D man. Him and Kyle Watson have been 2 of the stand out Brits for me this season.

My husby and I went out to dinner last night, and the bill came out to $200. I left a $50 tip on the table, thinking that was pretty reasonable. But the waiter looked at it and flat-out refused to take it. ​He told us that if we weren’t willing to leave at least $85, we shouldn’t be eating out in the first place. ​I was honestly caught off guard. I felt embarrassed sitting there, like we’d done something wrong. We weren’t trying to be cheap or disrespectful — I genuinely thought $50 was a fair tip for that bill. @GBHockeyFuture I agree BUT with the NIHL now going down the import nettie route our options are limited. Brine is a great nettie, Ben Clarke Leach performed admirably on Saturday but we do not have enough netminders except Bowns & Whistle playing regularly at the top level. It's worrying!!
