Not much shocks me these days. But this I found horrifying. This girl in Spain was gang raped in the "care" system. She was left so traumatized that she jumped off a building in a suicide attempt, yet lived but paralyzed. Now the state is euthanizing her instead!

I am deeply troubled to learn that a person in custody died on Rikers Island this morning. My thoughts are with their loved ones, who are now facing an unimaginable loss. Transparency and accountability are essential, and the Department of Correction is conducting an investigation. While we do not yet know the cause of death, too many have died on Rikers Island for far too long. Rikers must close, and we will pursue every avenue to do so as quickly as possible.

Sixteen years ago, the ACA became law, giving Americans access to quality, affordable health care. Today, that progress is being rolled back. DC Republicans refused to extend the ACA tax credits, spiking costs for working families — and Michael Whatley has backed these efforts at every turn.

Roy: We fought on some things, but we worked together on things too. Medicaid Expansion, hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs, third fastest growing state in the country, best state for business. We accomplished a lot of good things working together.

Of course, no “tampering,” no “poaching”…just coincidence LSU fired its coach and hired NC State’s within minutes. The USF coach warned other programs to “stay away from my players.” Then, HE was gone…so, nobody had to stay away from HIM. The double standard is laughable. Let’s stop complaining about player choice when coaches leave at the first chance for a better situation for themselves.
