That's why i believe in the el grande americano thing since day 1. Even if the premise is ass, i know gable would be able to turn it to something. If not on the promos then at least in ringwork

I want to say I hope all of this shows management if you just invested a little into Chad Gable he can make something special out of it. He did it as a babyface against Gunther, a heel against Sami and now as a heel against Ludwig. He deserves so much more than he’s gotten and I hope this isn’t where it peaks for him as a wrestler because he has so much more to offer.

The thing about wrestling or art is that yes, a premise can start off as silly and people will complain about it.
But like an actor would and a wrestler should, you dedicate to it and take the snark and irony from it so that it becomes genuine.
The genuineness then makes it more powerful than any tongue in cheek pandering ever will.
As you see in the way the crowd adores this story.
