There is a line in the Catechism that would shock many Catholics. CCC 460 says: “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.” Yes. That is in the Catechism. Not because we become God by nature. But because, through Christ, we are invited to share in the divine life by grace. This is the heart of Christianity: God became man so man could become a child of God. Not merely forgiven. Not merely improved. Transformed. Catholicism is not shallow moralism. It is divine adoption. It is participation in the life of the Trinity. It is heaven entering the soul. CCC 460. One of the most beautiful paragraphs many Catholics should always remember. Catholics in the house, I have a question. So during Mass, my mind usually just wanders off. I get distracted very easily. And I feel guilty about it. How do I stop these distractions, please?? It is almost like I can't control it. Please help. 🙏
