These Chinese Capsule Castle geodesic domes are prefab kits for quick glamping/tiny setups (~$19k start, 3-day assembly). Real data is sparse (mostly resorts, few US permanent installs).
Maintenance: Low, est $500-2k/yr (seals, cleaning; energy-efficient shape cuts HVAC).
Repairs/month: ~0 after setup; typical homes see 1-2 minor/year total.
Top 5 issues: 1. Panel joint leaks (common in domes). 2. US building code/permits hurdles. 3. Curved walls limit furniture/rooms. 4. Insurance/financing/resale tough. 5. Material QC/shipping from China.
Durability: 20-50+ yrs structural if sealed well; excels in wind/snow vs boxes, but neglect causes problems.
US integration: Electricity straightforward (wired for grid tie-in w/permits). Sewage moderate complexity (connect to muni if avail or septic; stilts add steps, state rules vary—often mandatory hookup nearby).
Anecdotes: Resorts report fast wins & guest appeal; some owners fix leaks easily but note curved cleaning hassle. Check local codes before buy—promos hype, longevity unproven long-term in US climates.

🇮🇱 🇮🇷 Israel said forget the plan and torched 30 Iranian fuel depots
The U.S. found out mid strike, basically. Their official response to Israel? “WTF.” Yeah, literally “WTF.”
America is worried hitting civilian infrastructure just makes Iranians angrier and rally behind the regime.
Oh, and oil prices are already losing it.
Iran is sitting there like, keep touching our stuff and we will burn energy infrastructure across the whole region. $200 a barrel. They said it.
Eight days in and the U.S. and Israel are already beefing. Iran is just watching and taking notes.

@NewYorkStateAG Sounds like a statement coming from Ministry of Culture in China - while they are at it, maybe they should consider importing the “anti-addiction system” that limits game time to 3 hours per day per person, built and deployed in 2007

@jerallaire @arc That makes USDC much different from USDT and the rest of the stablecoins - including those issued by banks. Maybe we will get credit cards (not just debit cards like Metamask) denominated in USDC in the next year or two

A powerful milestone in the mainstream adoption and acceptance of USDC, with Visa announcing that all US card issuers (banks, fintechs, crypto firms) can now settle directly with Visa using USDC. Visa also working with Circle to prepare for launching on @Arc.
Dollar digital currency flowing from users, to Visa, and soon enough we think to merchants -- especially those that prefer to settle in digital dollars -- is more evidence that we are upgrading to a new internet financial system.
We are proud of our longstanding collaboration with Visa, and excited by their input as a design partner of @Arc, as the world's leading payment companies help us to shape and eventually operate a new Economic OS for the internet.

@joshwoodward And it builds a website with knobs to visualize and simulate charts in 3D, when it makes sense to do so, even when it is not asked directly. Was impressed 1-2 weeks ago when I asked about a complex question related to option trading and liquidity provisioning fee on blockchain

@KettlebellDan It's great at something ChatGPT and Gemini aren't (making fun of stuff, or anything X related), but almost never gets a serious job done as quickly or as well as ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude. At least for now
