@NapierinFrame Yip the pay is shit and unfortunately it puts off high quality candidates.

One thing that has put me off standing for council is the part-time pay: Until recently about $30,000 (not enough to solely support a family & pay a mortgage). This plays more to the self-employed or retired with financial security already assured. I'd make it my full-time job.
