Cabinteely Park awarded a Green Flag

As our group went our separate ways, our friend remarked that it felt good to leave the Stolpersteine in better shape than we found them. David added that it wasn’t just meaningful for us, but also for the people who saw us cleaning. Hopefully, these plaques will shine a little brighter, and the roses left behind will remind others that someone worthy of remembrance once lived here.

It's been a hard week, and at times I’ve felt truly defeated. But this morning, we met with a group of (mostly) strangers who welcomed us, served alongside us, and scrubbed Stolpersteine together. We cried as we read the stories, paused in reverence for each person, and shared a powerful, human experience of doing something meaningful together. Sometimes, it’s these small acts that remind us of the strength in community and the importance of remembrance.
