@BecomingCritter I'm not a fan of someone wishing me good luck as if they would deny me agency.

@xwanyex My favorite celebrity endorsements are the ones where they're so smalltime they have to put the celebrity's name on the endorsement.

every other day on this app i see weather phenomena that would have had a 12th century peasant believing God was sending them a sign to revolt against the king, and yet all i do is like it and keep doomscrolling from my bed. sigh.

@Lil_Tee18 Thank you! It's kind of addicting. Keep pulling the lever and see what random excerpts pop out.

I built a "printed excerpt" generator for a weekend experiment. GPT Image 2's text fidelity is so good it can make linotype printed pages on textured paper. A mixer algo selects an author from a list of 500 and 2 topics from a list of 5000, then generates a short excerpt from a larger story. I use Opus 4.7 for this part (Sorry GPT, Opus is still the best creative writer). The excerpt is then fed to GPT Image 2 to generate the printed page. The end result is a printed excerpt from a book that never existed.

@yacineMTB I think the buttery smooth transition between desktops using the trackpad is 95% of the reason I stick with OSX.

I am so happy with this laptop (simply because i do not have to use macos, which feels a lot like dragging my gonads across a mile of broken glass)

To be allowed to post on Reddit, you must preface every comment with "I mean," to convey that you're about to relay a frank observation that cuts through formalities and suspicious pieties.

Yearning for the past is more socially acceptable than yearning to be young, dumb and 20 years old again.

@mtracey Last week someone left their pitbull in their car with the window too far down. Cramped parking lot. It bites an old woman squeezing between the cars who then falls and breaks her hip.

@JTAlexander The sole purpose of prediction markets is to surface insider signals. All I see is the market being used as designed.
