@pixlpa youre right except for that the agi frenzy will have way more customers/revenue than the software ever did

perhaps the most likely result of AI is that the tech industry becomes so furiously enamored with training new models that they stop actually making software products with customers and just get locked into an eternal spiral of AGI frenzy.

the pull of AI into making everything else in the world work better/more possible is not something to bet against

the exits from this space will continue and accelerate btw

in this place - collectors, platforms, and institutions are not generative. very lagging indicators. artists are the sauce

if you want to know if a scene will continue to be generative in the future, simply measure whether it is on-net attracting more generative people over time or not

crypto v much working as intended for art imo artists can release independently artists can release new series with the hot platform of the month the platforms can all go out of business the art lives on

my view is that in the long run (3+ years) every crypto art related platform that raised vc will be gone, be mindful where you invest your energy
