To me, the comparison is not dissimilar to these bollards. Yasuto's raincoat has a beautiful A-line shape and belt. It has drama and will swish when you walk. The other has no character or movement. It's so short, it even fails at the function of protecting you from the rain.
The line at Astoria Pool is hundreds of people long. NYPD officers and parks enforcement check for contraband and bathing suit linings and the first swimmers of the season are enjoying the water
In its response, City Hall noted that DOT is looking into the viability of a citywide landscaping contract for the greenways in its jurisdiction. That would be a good approach! But, spots like 2nd Ave need some interim TLC, stat! (2/2)
In March, the NYC Greenways Coalition asked City Hall for better care & upkeep of existing greenways. Several matters were raised... the tl;dr? DOT good at asphalt bad at green, Parks bad at asphalt good at green, they can help each other maybe? (1/2)

@StreetsblogNYC@Julcuba@BAM_Brooklyn I live down the street on Fulton. @BAM_Brooklyn get with it. Ashland is super dangerous for your members + visitors. I'll be going to Alamo for all my movies from now on.
Any #bikenyc folks know how @NYC_DOT imagined cyclists would make the left turn from the Navy St protected bike lane to the Sands St lane? I can't crack how to make this turn safely + conveniently. If you stop and wait for the light to change, you obstruct the entire bike lane.
