🌖 SpaceX Sale – Update to the Community Over the past six weeks, we were hard at work with our tokenized SpaceX equity deal—an ambitious attempt to bring one of the most exclusive private equity deals to the Web3 space. We went into this as a first experiment, with a clear question: is the Web3 community ready to allocate serious capital into tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) at institutional-grade terms? 💸 The Results In a private round conducted with High Net Worth Individuals, we raised $1,500,00 and an additional ticket of 50M$ for a fund on the same deal terms. However with the web3 community on Discord, Twitter and Telegram, here’s what happened: • Soft commit period length: 6 weeks • Total soft commits: $800,000 • Participants: 348 This phase was very encouraging, and with the total commits from our web2 community we proceeded to engage the SpaceX deal with our brokers. Here were the results of the sale with the Web3 community Hard-commits: • Actual conversions: ~$4,000 • Conversion rate: 0.5% • Participants: 12 This is a very strong discrepancy. User number 2114 committed for $2,000 and contributed for $1, which is less than the price of a coffee... 🧠 What We Learned This is a signal. A strong one. It tells us that: • The crypto-native community is not yet ready to participate in large, structured, tokenized private equity deals (at least not ours). • Despite the noise around RWA and tokenized stocks, actual conviction capital remains scarce in Web3 at this point in time. • The average profile of a crypto user today does not yet align with the maturity or liquidity required for deals of this nature—at least not without additional incentives. 🔙 So What Happens Now? We had set a minimum threshold of $200,000 to validate this opportunity with the Web3 community. Since this threshold has not been reached, we will return all USDC and USDT committed back to their owners, and close this Web3 public sale to focus our fundraising efforts on traditional channels ready to commit relevant amounts. This will be done automatically via the smart-contract in the next 2 days.
