What truly upsets me is that these constant violations Pitaya goes through in Kingdom don't seem to result in character development, they serve the plot. Those things were objectively disturbing, why do we never see the effect these events have on them beside physical pain?

Smth abt how in Ovenbreak, Longan’s manipulation tells us that freedom is something Pitaya values deeply. And in Kingdom, Pitaya’s access to true freedom and control over oneself is constantly violated and stripped away…. haha…
