@riel_twit_ @arumeruarumeru There was an American drama series called Man in the High Castle where Nazi and Japanese won WW2. Everyone knows it's fiction and nobody acts irrational like some Koreans. There's even a Korean movie 2009 Lost Memories where Japan won WW2 too

Looking at the behavior of international K-pop fans lately, I can’t help but find it utterly hypocritical and absurd. They constantly posture as "enlightened activists," pretending to care about racism, political correctness, and women’s rights more than anyone else. Yet, they possess zero deep understanding of these issues.
In reality, it seems they just enjoy targeting a self-designated "evil group" to tear down collectively, solely to feed their own sense of moral superiority.
This ignorance and hypocrisy become starkly evident when they address Korea’s historical and cultural issues. China’s cultural appropriation and historical revisionism—such as the Northeast Project—are not just Korea's problems; they are severe threats faced by multiple nations and ethnic groups across Asia, including Mongolia, Tibet, and the Uyghurs. Despite this, international fans make no effort to understand the context. Instead, they parrot the same dismissive jeers: "Why are you overreacting to a fictional drama?" or "Do you even have any history left to defend?" They even derail the conversation by telling Koreans protesting the Northeast Project to "go criticize Kim Soo-hyun instead." They fail to realize that the people fighting historical distortion and those criticize KSH are, in fact, the exact same people.
Compared to how easily triggered they are by political issues, their actual knowledge of international relations is abysmal. They baselessly attack Stray Kids’ Felix, accusing him of participating in "political propaganda" just for taking a photo with the French President. Conversely, when tripleS’s Chinese member dropped the "One China" bombshell, they stood around cluelessly, completely ignorant of the Cross-Strait relations or the Hong Kong protests.
It was only after someone explained it to them in terms they could digest—saying, "This is basically like saying TWICE's Tzuyu’s hometown doesn't exist 😭"—that they gave a dismissive "Ah, okay, got it" and let it slide. The sheer lack of awareness is mind-boggling.
If you know nothing about international affairs and Korea–China relations, it would be better to stay quiet.

@arumeruarumeru The drama is a rom com and already stated explicitly it's a work of fiction. It's not a historical drama as Korea today has no monarchy. Everything also wants to blame China makes Koreans look so irrational
