i get why people are bitter about ragatha because it really did feel like every character was gonna have their moment for a while, i dont know how intentional it was for gooseworx to subvert those expectations but personally i dont think it works as well as she imagined it would

id love most of what it was doing if jax was a primary character from the start, but jax's importance is crazy understated for the first few episodes and the writing feels more episodic than chronologic for a brief period which doesnt help much. the ensemble setup was a mistake

the real problem with the show is that its uncertain as to who the main characters are until about halfway through the show which makes their developments fairly underbaked and thrown in, side characters get a lot of screen time to make it seem like an ensemble show when it isnt

I have only seen like two episodes so I have no leg in this race but TADC seemingly has the same issue Homestuck has where it's a quirky internet thing full of easily blorbofiable characters so it attracts people with no concept of basic literary devices such as "side characters"
