Well folks it’s been a while! Now and again a bird so monstrous is found you just have too! Grey-headed lapwing at Low Newton, Northumberland earlier today. @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK huge congrats Gary on finding this beauty.

That’s a new sustained windspeed Irish record for the month of August, previous was 83kph at Malin Head August 1973, 1 kph short of the highest gust recorded for the month of August in Claremorris in 1999.
