I’m determined to build the absolute best free resource for creative professionals using AI for their work. AI can be a real minefield to navigate for most creative businesses - and I just don’t think enough people are talking about it. Every Thursday, a breakdown showing how a real person is using AI for real work - and the exact playbook that you can copy for yourself in minutes. I’m keen to connect with people building with AI, the tinkerers, system builders, hobbyists. Anybody doing creative work with AI - I want to hear from you! Issue 1 goes out on Thursday. It’s free. Link in my bio.

Anthropic connected Claude to Blender yesterday. You can now build a 3D model by talking to it. The studios still treating AI as 'image generator' are about to get lapped by people who treat it as a creative operating system.

58% of creative professionals used AI in client work last year without telling the client. The uncomfortable read isn't the dishonesty. It's that the clients didn't notice. The output was good enough either way.

Saw an AI automation agency this week sign a €12,000 contract with a farm shop. Seven thousand invoices a year, processed by hand. The big opportunity in AI right now isn't tech companies. It's every business where someone is still typing the same thing into a spreadsheet 140 times a week.

Every 'AI creative agency' I look at is selling the same thing: Midjourney prompts in a Notion doc, dressed up as a service. The ones that will still exist in 18 months are building actual production infrastructure. Pipelines, QC layers, review systems. Boring work.

@JeremyNguyenPhD This is what everyone's been waiting for. Opus is way too expensive to run the whole time, but perfect for the hard 5%.

Now Sonnet can "phone a friend" (call Opus) in Claude Code (h/t Alex Albert for the great phrasing): /advisor So Sonnet runs, but only calls Opus as an advisor when it runs into trouble or needs stronger judgement. Lets you do a lot more within your usage limits

@KevinSzabo14 Writing is underpriced right now. The people who will win are the ones who learn to use AI for what it’s good at - and not for what it isn’t. The number of people who let AI fully take the reins of their copywriting is wild.

Writing is the best skill anyone can have these days. “But what about AI, it’s taking my job blah blah” Relax. First of all, every major project needs a writer. Making a movie? You start on the drawing board. Creating a YouTube video? You need a script. Writing is important. But with AI, now we can speed things up. The problem is people will use a generic prompt: “write me a script about eating shrimp” No you’ll need to add your flavour, your voice. Learn to write with AI please, you’ll thank me later.

Superside ran a survey and found only 2% of creative teams have actually integrated AI into their workflow. But I’m betting other 98% are still writing LinkedIn posts about how AI is going to ‘change everything’.

I have 39 pieces of finished ad creative sitting in a folder waiting for me to send them to the brands they were built for. My AI pipeline completed all this work in one night. The slow part is still a human opening Gmail.

Holy shit... Someone just gave Claude Code a complete software development brain. It's called Superpowers and it makes Claude plan, test, and ship code without going off the rails. No junior dev babysitting. No context loss. No hallucinated plans. 100% Opensource.

Kling 3.0 now handles generation, editing, and audio in one model. One API call for what used to be three tools plus a video editor. Any agency still quoting "post-production" as a separate line item is quoting from 2024.

Six days until the first issue of Made With Machines goes out. Issue 01 is a full walkthrough of how I built a static ad production line that runs without me. Not theory. The actual stack, the actual prompts, the actual costs. Link in my bio if you want it.

I've been trying to find a good newsletter about AI for creative people and I honestly can't find one. They all seem to be lists of "ten tools you need" and "the future of creativity" blah blah blah. None of them actually show real people using AI for real use cases. So I've just decided to write one. It's a free newsletter every Thursday called Made With Machines. Every week is a new case study of how a real creative professional is using AI in their work. First issue comes out next Thursday. Link in bio if you want to see it. #AIcreative #newsletter #aiforcreatives #creativeoperations

@theProcessXCII The winners in that contest were storytellers with decent generations, not generators with decent stories. Same pattern I see on the ad creative side. Nobody really cares about your production methods if your ideas are garbage.

That runway ad contest, notice how the winners all had crazy storytelling. It wasn’t about the best “quality” generations. Everyone will learn how to generate AI videos but the few that stand out will be those who master storytelling. Said this earlier this year, master storytelling!

@brickmarketing The advertisers who'll benefit from this are the ones with strong creative systems already. It's a force multiplier, not a replacement for knowing what to say.

@redhairshanks86 What's wild is how obvious the all-AI ones are. Consumers are getting calibrated faster than the advertisers are. The bubble will burst, and I think these brands know it. It’s just a cash grab until that happens.

@AllaAisling Do you find V8 holds product consistency better or worse than V7? I care more about that than stylistic upgrades for ad work.
