At @SIGGRAPH 2023, we present a new approach that makes 3D telepresence more accessible with the help of generative AI. Our method uses a minimal input (like a single unposed RGB image), and operates in real-time on consumer-grade desktops research.nvidia.com/labs/nxp/lp3d/

"3D Object Reconstruction and Representation using Neural Networks" published in GRAPHITE 2004 by Peng et al. proposed neural implicit surfaces ages before anyone else did. Visionary work (even had a cat!) which doesn't seem to get the credit it should!
