everyone on here is a tough guy
I went to college and the business and accounting folks I graduated with almost all got jobs. The ones who struggled to get jobs or even went to a different field may have had difficulty in social skills, emotional intelligence, real life problem solving, needed too much guidance/difficulty with ambiguity amongst other things. They would make up these items by being generally smart, diligent, extra communication, or additional effort. These are not bad things but put them lower on the hiring ladder because there are many graduates competing. These people could get jobs in their area sometimes but they would have to keep after it. It’s unusual to see someone never get a job in their area unless they give up or present extremely poorly whenever interviewing.

@schmidthawk @CommishSmith So what experience of yours you speakdo of? The bottom line, which you ought to know, is that many corporations intentionally hire people with unrelated degrees because they value critical thinking and the determination to study hard and analyze things.

I'm not going to dis AOC's B.A., but do you really think earning a bachelor's degree is a more impressive achievement than taking a small family business w/ 6 employees and turning it into a company with over 300 employees and $20 million in annual sales? If so, you're an idiot.
Arlen Parsa@arlenparsa

AOC graduated with honors from Boston University with double degrees in Economics and International Relations. Markwayne was the only Senator without even a bachelor’s degree. Hope that helps.

@schmidthawk @CommishSmith *pushes up nerd glasses even higher than you* Technically, it’s not a take on your comment. It’s a riff on your comment to mock the boomers with Fox-fueled AOCDS that the replies to the original tweet are full of.

@VerumVulnero1 Just make the corporations pay. Not their “fair share”. Something! Anything! S and C class corporations netting billions of dollars aren’t paying anything at all. How? Why?

Seems like making Harry Potter black and Snape white is more interesting. Make Lily white and Potters dad black. Lots of interesting actions if you want to call out current social constructs. But whatever. I am not going to get fired up about it. Hopefully it’s good regardless.

Yeah. You have to use the assumption that benefits are capped but the tax is not. That’s a different program. Effectively, you want high earners to fund the program. If you uncap benefits since this is a retirement program then you end up with the real issue; living a lot longer than retirement age while reducing reducing the proportion of workers to retireee is killing the program.

Every dollar earned below $184,500 a year has a Social Security tax of 12.4%. Everything after that cap is exempt. If we lift this cap on the wealthiest earners, Social Security would be fully funded till 2070. The cap should not exist.
ABC News@ABC

The trust funds for Social Security and Medicaid will run out of money in as little as 8 years, a shorter time frame than previously estimated, according to a report issued Wednesday by the programs' trustees. abcnews.link/r5kTy1r

“I’m not a conspiracy guy” Immediately does not believe anything. Immediately skeptical of any answer that does not fit his narrative. What are they supposed to do. Stay on the ground and sit on Trump until the whole outside area is cleared. That’s a few agents. There are obviously other agents doing other jobs. You don’t have to be a moron just because you dislike Trump.

The Art of Getting Shot Reagan took a bullet on a Monday afternoon in 1981 and had the absolute nerve to walk into the limousine under his own power before anyone realised he was bleeding internally. He then told his wife “Honey, I forgot to duck,” and informed the surgical team he hoped they voted Republican. The man had a hole in his lung and was workshopping one-liners. Butler, Pennsylvania, July 2024. A rifle cracks. Trump grabs his ear, drops behind the podium, then rises – slowly, deliberately – fist raised, blood streaked theatrically across his cheek, as the American flag descends behind him like a director called action. “Fight! Fight! Fight!” Trump and the crowd erupts. You know, the deep state and all that. The photographers, somehow, got every frame. Now pause. Professional photographers at a chaotic, panicked shooting scene. Every agent’s instinct screaming GET HIM DOWN. And yet: wide shot, tight shot, silhouette against the flag, fist in the air, golden hour lighting. A sequence so perfectly composed it would embarrass a Hollywood unit photographer. The FBI found the shooter on the roof. A roof that Secret Service had been warned about. A roof with a direct sightline. A roof that remained unoccupied until it wasn’t. And now Viktor Orban. Hungary. Election approaching. Leaked documents suggesting a staged assassination attempt – enough to generate sympathy, not enough to cause actual damage. The same script, different country, cheaper production values. Reagan bled because someone shot him. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

We can always have questions but there are so many people that conclusively state it was fake yet the facts on the ground make way more sense than all the things necessary for a conspiracy. The incident cleared quickly from shots fired to assassin killed. Everyone has a job to do and these guys are to escort him and basically act as shields. At least that’s my understanding.

You’d think Jack Smith’s memo (that Pam Bondi inadvertently released) finding that Trump stole & kept 100s of classified docs after leaving office to enrich himself - would be more than a blip in the news cycle.

@TheLastRefuge2 Is there any criminal culpability for Schiff or Goldman? Too often this shady shit is not prosecutable and California and New York won’t remove them from office.

Adam Schiff wasn't stupid. He knew exactly what he was doing when he classified and buried the Atkinson transcript. He knew what it would take to unbury it. ♦ The PROCESS: First, you need a republican President in the White House √. Second, you need an aligned Intelligence Community DNI √, and third you need a Republican controlled HPSCI √: [¹] • To extract the transcript the Executive would first need to understand its value. • Then the Executive would need to know where it was. • Then the Executive would need a qualified stakeholder, with appropriate clearances, to request to review the transcript in the HPSCI secure compartmented intelligence facility (scif).  • If the HPSCI approved, the Executive would be given an appointment date to read it (no notes, no copying, just reading).  • Then, after reading, the Executive stakeholder would then need to request the HPSCI Chair and Ranking Member for a classified copy.  • The Chair and Ranking Member would need to agree to the value of the sunlight on the Legislative Branch controlled information. • To get a copy the entire House Intelligence Committee would need to vote on the release to the Executive.  • The vote would need to be scheduled on the committee calendar.  • A HPSCI vote would then take place:

And the negative polarization of individuals make them less likely to ever consider new evidence so the base of each party is more entrenched than ever. The last few elections, each party just relies on the swing voters just hating the way things are and switching their vote each election.

And no one weaponized NARA to go after them because it was not Trump. They hold these documents for a ridiculous amount of time, return them only because they need to say they did so and Trump did not. Even when evidence exists that the confidential files were disclosed to others as Julie shows in the OP. Fake outrage

Joe Biden, who was not president, took classified docs related to Afghanistan war that he shared with his ghostwriter to help sell his book Promise Me Dad, which earned him $10 million plus. The ghostwriter later destroyed recordings of the convos about the classified material.

My message is nasty? Ever since my feed started including your posts, they seem to be nonstop criticism of one side. My experience with dems obviously is not the same. You state ‘lies’ as if it is one side and ‘nastiness’ as if it is one side. The only way for me to believe someone has only received that interaction is because they are ally or part of that crowd. While I won’t say your are lying or misrepresenting your experience, I absolutely contend that it is not reality. The left is full of nastiness and lies also.

@schmidthawk I’ve called out Dems plenty, you don’t actually care about that. You’re just desperately trying to sidestep accountability. And for the record, no, democrats are not this nasty when you call them out.

Republicans are quite literally NOTHING without independents. Yet they heap abuse on us when we correctly call out their side’s failures and lies instead of working to give us a reason to support them in the future. Not smart people.

Imagine being so stupid that you believe anything about this post. It’s a lie wrapped up in linguistic nonsense. The rate is the same but there is a cap because there is also a cap on how much social security you receive in retirement. But I am sure dunbshits who follow these liars will be “that’s not right” because you can never appease the crowd who just wants more entitlements and want others to fund government.

MURRAY: Is it true that people making under $184k pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? DAHL: Yes. MURRAY: And the rate for someone making $1 million? DAHL: 2.2%. MURRAY: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184k, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.
