It's interesting what you think I don't understand, while demonstrating your complete lack of understanding, or indeed your grasp on reality. You are quoting a system that isn't socialism, and is about to collapse, as an example of why socialism works? The Nordic Model (which is a form of Social Democratic government, not Socialism) has health care, education, and public sevices at it's heart. Even that system is now creaking at the seams because there's nothing left to tax in order to raise the revenue needed to sustain the model. Are you trying to say that under our allegedly socialist government, these core issues are better? They're not, they're worse than ever. Socialism, in any form, always hits the point where there is no more money to sustain the system. It is the law of diminishing returns exemplified. In theory, a socialist system should work, but when it is forced on a population by an authoritarian government it never does. Venezuela East Germany Cuba Yugoslavia Zimbabwe You cannot argue that socialism works, while citing examples that you admit are are not actually socialist but social democratic governments, which are also close to failing. Socialism does not work. Communism does not work. Social Democratic governments do not work beyond a certain point. Without a free capitalist market there is not enough wealth created to levy the taxes required to sustain them. They need a constant supply of money, eventually the well runs dry and their system fails. This is a fact. There are numerous examples of this happening, and not one single example of it succeeding for any more that a short period before eventually failing.

Really? Show me a truly socialist government that has worked. The Scandinavian countries you refer to use the 'Nordic Model', which isn't socialism. It is based on capitalism and private business ownership. Those economies are currently under pressure due to high taxation (typically between 50% to 65% of income), an aging population, and migration. People are currently happy in general because public services, health care, education, public services, transport systems, etc. are good. But...... They need to adjust further to compensate. But how? There's no more to tax without losing the electorate. The Nordic Model encourages capitalism and growth to raise the taxes required to fund the model. A socialist government does not. It doesn't understand that people need to be successful and wealthy in order to taxes to be raised to fund their profligacy. We have a truly socialist government which abhors capitalism and business, our public services are terrible, and we are being taxed to the point of cruelty to pay for these sub standard services. You're right when you say Starmer's government aren't socialist, they are communist, masquerading as socialist in the hope we won't notice. I stand by what I said. Socialism does not work in the real world. It's a theoretical system that works on paper, but we don't live on paper. We live in reality. I don't think I need any further education from you. Thanks.

@AmbJohnBolton John, it’s time in the United States forms a friendly alliance with Russia and China. NATO has been a thorn in the side for both Russia and China and now that NATO is essentially irrelevant, we can forge this relationship. China and Russia are not inherently evil.
