@JayPhilips1075 Monte is kind of in the same spot Shawn was in 2015. Carolina could have won the games against A&M, Florida, The Citadel, and Tennessee that year. If we had gotten the breaks, then Shawn is likely still the head coach here. Monte needs those breaks to be the guy.

@JayPhilips1075 I personally believe that Carolina should be in the Regionals 7 times a decade, and hosting at least 5 of them. Then, at least 3 Super Regionals a decade, and 2 CWS appearances. I know that's a high standard, but the again, this is Carolina baseball.

This is a good question, and I'll add one to it: what ARE the expectations of the SC baseball fanbase? Can't just be happy with NCAA bids, but probably shouldn't expect six Omaha trips in a ten year span either. In the modern era, where is the reasonable middle ground?

Here’s a good fan poll question based on my mentions. When you think of @NCAABaseball, what’s the first baseball brand you think of?

South Carolina will hire a great coach. Fans should be excited, and recruits should be even more excited about the future. There will actually be some energy around Founders Park and the baseball program can grow and become relevant again. This place is starving for a winner, and has a real chance again.

“I think the fans and the media, everybody here was pretty impatient.” Pretty bold to blame others when it was you who took an NCAA Tournament team to the most losses in program history in your first year, then come out the next year and be even worse. But par for the course with that guy.
