But tipping itself? Is and has always been a thing here, in MY experience.

@bottomleeknow @Bubblesski_ @wannabuble I agree. Not sure why so many ppl are saying there's no tipping culture in Germany 🤔 I worked as a server in different Restaurants and Germans give a 10% tip 90% of the time.. especially elderly German ppl would give even a 20% tip a lot of times!!

@fairyyhosh @bottomleeknow @Bubblesski_ @wannabuble Ich glaube ich weiß davon auch erst seit ich für ein Restaurant gearbeitet hatte, tatsächlich sind es wohl 5-10% oder man rundet wie du sagst einfach auf. Sind alles keine festen Regeln. Ich z. B. gebe auch nur bei gutem Service Trinkgeld.

Dann runde ich auf. Aber, genau, vergleichen mit den USA kann man es nicht. Trotzdem ist es hier sehr normal, meiner Erfahrung nach.
