Unbelievable that the Defence Minister would say this at the SCO Defence Ministers Meet in Kyrgyzstan today. Sharm El-Sheikh moment less than a week after the Pahalgam anniversary.

With everything happening around Sam Altman This still has no answer. Suchir Balaji was one of the key researchers behind early ChatGPT systems. - He worked at OpenAI from 2020 to 2024. - He said the company was violating copyright laws. - He said the entire model was trained on protected data. - He was ready to testify. On November 26, 2024 He was found dead in his San Francisco apartment. Official ruling: suicide, case closed. But the details don’t sit right. Signs of struggle, bruises, the apartment in disarray. His bags still unpacked. Interviews scheduled for the following days. His family rejected the ruling immediately. Months later Elon Musk said “He was murdered.” He repeated it publicly, multiple times. Two versions of the story. One official, one unanswered.

I burned through all my tokens in a session on Claude Pro this morning in maybe 10 minutes trying to pull data out of one PDF — there’s just no way there’s enough compute to disrupt a meaningful number of jobs this year.

The New York Times charges $17/month. The Wall Street Journal charges $38/month. Nature charges $199/year. Someone just open sourced a proxy that bypasses all of them for $0. And publishers cannot shut it down. It's called Ladder. Here's the trick that makes it work: Every news site and academic journal on earth shows Google the full article text for free. They have no choice. Block Googlebot and you disappear from search results overnight. Ladder pretends to be Googlebot. Same headers. Same fingerprint. Same access Google gets. → Paste any paywalled URL → Full article loads instantly → No account. No subscription. No credit card. → Works on NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, Nature, Science, The Lancet, The Atlantic, and hundreds more → Also strips CORS headers from any URL, which saves developers a stupid amount of time Publishers got 12ft killed by pressuring the domain registrar. Ladder runs on your own server. There's no domain to seize. No company to pressure. No central server to shut down. One Docker command. Your machine. Your rules. 6.3K stars. @UBERSOY1 It happened after he suggested Trump's indictment when Musk and Trump were having a fight. Musk later regretted supporting that X post by Cheong. It was a very bad move on his part.

I don’t usually share things like this, but I think it’s important to be honest. I’ve been looking for a full-time role since September. I’m a senior iOS engineer + product designer with 10+ years experience, and I’ve spent that time building and shipping real products (most recently: @ateiq_app, @naturalis_app, @getuppapp). Despite interviews and ongoing work, I’m now about a month away from needing something stable for my family. If you know a team that values someone who can both design and build, I’d really appreciate an introduction. Thank you! ❤️

Scam Altman and Greg Stockman stole a charity. Full stop. Greg got tens of billions of stock for himself and Scam got dozens of OpenAI side deals with a piece of the action for himself, Y Combinator style. After this lawsuit, Scam will also be awarded tens of billions in stock directly. The fundamental question is simply this: Do you want to set legal precedent in the United States that it is ok to loot a charity? If so, you undermine all charitable giving in the United States forever. I could have started OpenAI as a for-profit corporation. Instead, I started it, funded it, recruited critical talent and taught them everything I know about how to make a startup successful FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. Then they stole the charity.
X Freeze@XFreeze

Interesting how it works Elon puts up his own money, rounds up the absolute best AI talent on the planet, leverages every connection he has to secure serious resources, and launches OpenAI in 2015 as a pure non-profit explicitly created to develop AI for the benefit of humanity, with zero profit motive and open research Then the “team” decides they want the bag They push Elon out, take control, and quietly flip the entire thing into a for-profit machine All while preaching the same sanctimonious lines on repeat: “We’re still mission-driven!” “AI for the good of humanity!” “We’d never abandon our principles!” The ultimate betrayal: Elon got zero equity. Not a single share. He funded it. He built the foundation. He got nothing while they turned his non-profit into their personal cash cow This is the level of betrayal and hypocrisy we’re dealing with And for the record.... this lawsuit doesn’t put a single penny in Elon’s pocket. Any win goes straight back to the non-profit to restore the exact mission he founded

Has this happened to any of you? A PhD applicant emailed asking for a job, wrote a nice letter, and praised my work about how protein X regulates process Y. Then I realized … we have not published that. I have not presented those data. From grants? AI is getting CREEPY 🤯

On the left, Trump claiming on 60 Minutes he didn't fall as he fled last night, he was ordered to get down and crawl. On the right, the actual video showing Trump falling with clear audio demonstrating nobody told him to get down, and them trying to pull him back up. This isn't even a big deal, people trip, and in a mess of legs things can happen. But he can't even cop to that.

A retired judge of the Supreme Court came dangerously close to being publicly chewed out by yours truly for sending disgraceful messages to my inbox and attempting video calls. Considering his advancing age and out of respect for the sacred position he once occupied, I chose to block him and be done with it. This is an FYI. If you know, you know; otherwise, you weren’t meant to.
