The test, learn, iterate cycle. Build the minimum needed to answer your question. Test it. Learn something. Change the design. Repeat. The goal isn't to validate the design. It's to discover what needs changing, before you build it for real.

The fidelity of a prototype should match the question you're trying to answer. Use more fidelity than you need and you waste time. Use less and you can't answer the question. A thread. 🧵

Where is your team doing single-loop learning when it needs double-loop?

Single-loop learning fixes the error. Double-loop learning questions the assumption that caused it. Most organisations operate almost entirely at the first level, and wonder why the same problems return.
