val's arms crossed over his chest, gaze locking onto the floor as if he suddenly found the grates interesting. “yeah. well, technically it was the security guards he told so that i could get into his classes without issue but. . he confirmed it's what he told them when i asked-

he paused as he thought over if he should reveal what was told to him by the university security guard. “y'know the doctor told the university i was his kid?”

“if they come off i'm shootin' first and askin' questions later. those would be some angry caterpillars.” moving to lean against the center console with his lower back he tilted his head. “what? kid can't stop by and say hi?”

val couldn't help but laugh. “i don't think that glare of his would work too well if it had gotten stuck. would have been a bad time.”

“ah so that's where i get it from. not too surprised.” his forms his own smile hearing that, tilting his head. “oh did he now?”

“and somehow i believe you that you weren't involved. dunno what that says about me but-” he shrugs, not really caring one way or another. he knew missy and what she and her past selves got up to. “well considering what he's said he probably considers it a date.”

“bill? don't think i've met that one yet. shame clara's gone though, i liked her.” a brow rose at the brief and not very descriptive story of how she escaped. “no details? not like i'm gonna tell him how you got out. well, he seemed to think so. to some degree.”

his head tilts to the side as he thinks. “clara and what's his name?” another yawn. he hadn't been sleeping well. “how th' hell did you get out anyway? gotta teach me that trick. he also said he took you on lunch date. that true?”

he's yawning as he walks in, dropping his bag by the door like usual but stops when he sees her. “well hello to you too?”
