The statement ignored the real issue: its writing touched China’s sensitive history. Instead, it framed CN players as just hating a new character. They could’ve changed the sensitive parts. Instead, they cut the character. Now people blame CN players, not the devs. Interesting.

If they really bow down to CN players that much, they would deleted Rafayel carried by MC part, they would fixed KOD as soon as they can because it was also a big deal. Why can't people understand the cancelation is because they got themself into trouble with the government?

Ok thoughts, and honestly if you disagree i’m sorry we are ALL allowed to have our own opinion about this situation: My beef and criticism has always been towards infold. Everything that has happened in the last days including the immense backlash from the cn girls and a big portion of the global players has been (in my eyes) their fault and the direct result of years of their neglect in regards to meeting player satisfaction. Even my complaints about his copied elements like “purest love” and “bang” are direct critiques towards Infold. There are a million things you could’ve done. You said you understand how important these moments and memories are to the players. I am questioning your choices, the choices you keep making that seem to prioritize making a quick buck out of everyone over long term player satisfaction. To bring back my metaphor, our building is in disrepair and the whole neighborhood is unhappy, did you really think that without addressing the existing issues, another LI would’ve been welcome? I feel like that was the crux of the CN girls’ anger, that what they have invested in into the game both financially and emotionally has not given the returns they expected (regular main story updates, branches, equalization of the two last leads, etc) and instead went to a “stranger”… i am not saying that the scorching of it all to the ground was the best choice, but i also do not blame them for going to the extreme because Infold has over the years fostered the environment of distrust and flat out dismissal of player concerns, and we all now ended up in this horrible do-or-die situation. (For reasons i am directly pertaining to how their demands were for Valko to be removed, and not anything else, and this is also not a defense of anyone’s actions, just my personal observation of the situation) Before anything else, yes I was a 6th li denier before Valko’s release, adamantly so, because i did not think there was any space for another one with the amount of piled up ignored issues that the entire fanbase has been raising for years, but since he was released, it’s clear that they have already taken the time and resources to make him (now going to waste), hired VAs, staff, animators, writers, mocap ppl, etc etc (people that are now without work)…. There just would’ve been better ways to handle it from the start, and it had been so clear from the beginning that this was going to go in this direction, and for him to be permanently removed after players have had the time to feel excitement (and people hired for the job) feels very cruel. I don’t blame the CN girls. For me their anger towards the company is justified. I feel the same anger over the neglect. What i blame is infold for how they have let things get this bad, and they haven’t even addressed that 731 issue (just quietly changed it without any apology or statement whatsoever). I am also worried now what this will mean for the main story, as both Sylus and Caleb had two main story chapters on their release that ties into MC’s story, and how the vacancy of the 6th will now affect the plot going forward. As much as i hate to admit it, the lore girls were right, he was supposed to be tying into the 6th stella, the last element that also is supposed to serve as other LI’s foil…. It also does not instill a sense of trustworthiness that things can be scrapped just like that. What they succeeded in is just making the divide in the fandom even bigger, and now this whole situation feels like an indelible stain that now mars everyone’s experience and has shortened the lifespan of the game.

They were out here getting in troble with the GOVERNMENT with using that number, making amateur mistakes for a company that has existed for so long.. how can you do that and not expect major backlash??

because people are unhappy, they would definitely do that tho if they knew that they made a huge fucking mistake and thought more about the money than their player base. Yall didn't blame infold then and yall aren't blaming infold now. Yall will never change.

to be honest, i was very unhappy about valko’s addition, but i don’t know if outright cancelling him is the right move. postponing his release until things were in a better place would’ve probably been the wiser decision. i think?
