The thing nobody wants to admit is you can't create anything whole by yourself, not children, not art, not meaning, not even your own soul. wholeness requires the thing you don't have, the thing that scares you, the darkness if you're light, the chaos if you're order, the other person who sees the world backwards from you, and this is why marriage is so hard and so necessary, because trying to become complete alone is like trying to make a baby by yourself, it's biologically impossible. The self cannot actualize the self, it needs friction, needs the mirror, needs someone to show you the parts of reality you're blind to, and yeah it's painful and yeah you'll want to quit but the attempt itself is the only holy thing we have

i have a lot of thoughts on mental health and the domain of mental illness classifications that are very early and vague in their formation right now and i don’t really want to put these thoughts in the Public Square where they will be undoubtedly twisted and misinterpreted but i do want to put them somewhere where they can spark useful and meaningful discussion . open to ideas as to where i can have these discussions with well intentioned people who want to find truth and get clarity on some of these concepts together
