I was at the supermarket, just minding my business, when a woman came up to me speaking Igbo. I politely told her, “I don’t understand Igbo,” and she apologized and switched to English. Next thing, she started saying, “Sorry ooo, sorry ooo… you’re still young ooo, sorry my dear.” At that point, I was confused because… sorry for what exactly? Then she said she thought I lost my husband because I was wearing all white. I just stood there like ??? Ma, I didn’t lose anybody. Then she added, “Oh my daughter, next time you want to wear white, try to mix it with other colours.” I’m honestly tired of these women not minding their business.

@gaiuschibueze Not only an Enugu thing. It's SE! Anambra is stuck with any corrupt and incapable candidate APGA provides, Ebonyi is stuck with Umahi disciples, Abia don't want no opposition to their Messiah. Even Imo. We only claim to be wise during presidential election, but not in state.

Dear Young Enugu Indigene, Sort Yourself! I have repeatedly said there is something wrong with Enugu politics and the people in it. It reeks of timidity, low self-esteem, and everything wrong with an entire generation of ass-lickers! I am scared for the future of Enugu youths, especially since the people in this picture would rather keep them poor, from the generation of our fathers to the generation of our sons. Nawfia in Anambra state is more developed than Afikpo in Ebonyi state and Agbo in Anioma. Nawfia, located in Njikoka local government area of Anambra State, exemplifies one of the towns striving tirelessly to not only beautify their community but also ensure its sustainability for the benefit of its indigenous population. While many people claim their towns to be London or Dubai in Nigeria, a critical question arises: how sustainable are these developments for the local populace? Specifically, what industrial infrastructure exists within these towns? Are they merely focused on building mansions that see activity only during festive period? Nnewi people has set a commendable precedent for Ndi-Igbo, transforming a rural setup into a thriving economic hub that now attracts business visitors from across the country and beyond. Nawfia, following suit, many from Nawfia has seen significant advancements, particularly in the clearing and forwarding sector in Nigeria, they've built over ten bonded terminals currently in their home town. Additionally, the town boasts car stands for vehicle sales, hotels, eateries, and more, contributing to its economic vitality. This trend is not unique to Nawfia, as numerous towns within Anambra State are adopting similar strategies, collectively propelling the state towards becoming a bustling metropolis. #AnambraIsRising

There is nothing like an official designated “state creation slot” for any geopolitical zone—only ongoing agitation and advocacy. There should be no issue if the proposed Anioma State is created in the South-South, if that is the collective choice of the people.

At least, the talk about Anioma state being created can now die a natural death. The only case for it was that South East has only 5 states, and Anioma state will make it 6 bringing the region's number of states to parity with others, except the North West that has 7. Any new state to be created in the name of the South East will be from the state and part of the South East — any of Orlu, Adada, Anim State will be good.

@chudy_jnr Let's assume it's true. Then Agulueri is Isi Igbo not the whole Anambra. Osun State is not referred to Isi Ndi Yoruba because of Ile Ife. The isi-igbo narrative has nothing to do with history, but pride, bragga and showoff. Oh na we get money pass, so we be imi Igbo.

The ‘isi Igbo’ tag is not about state creation. It is about the History of the Igbo people. Aguleri in Anambra State is often considered the "first son" or ancestral home of Igboland, as it is the place where Eri, the progenitor of the Igbo people settled!

@EbubeO42 I wanted to say talk about it the other day. My bro's said I should keep quiet, that it's just ragebait. One day I'll talk about it sha.

Living in Enugu is now too expensive. This is Maryland Estate, a legacy of Sullivan Chime. Smart City is for the rich, no doubt. When will Peter Mbah start a project like Maryland Estate to help curb the high rising cost of house rent in Enugu? Because the rent in Enugu doesn’t measure up with the income and earnings of citizens. Enugu became very expensive to stay in since Peter Mbah became governor. And we know why.

Nnamdi Azikuwe did not fuck up! Someone doing the best and right thing and later what he built gets messed up by others doesn’t mean he did the wrong thing. Pan Africanism is the ONLY way Africa will be great. This our individualism won’t take us far.
