Facts: • blog uses they/them • brand guide allows he/she/they/it • no gender or identity is defined • it’s a fictional companion, not a person • not even a real animal (fox + panda + “fire”) Kit doesn’t “identify” as anything. It’s intentionally left open. My view: This isn’t about identity. It’s about design. When you remove definition, you maximize relatability. Whether that’s clever… or calculated… depends on how you see it.
