I mean people who don’t understand how college works are complaining about it. They aren’t looking to admit people who obviously focused on testing well. How many extra curriculars does the kid have? College isn’t meant to be a testing lab it’s a real world experience where you have to learn how to get along with other people, problem solve in teams etc. you know real life stuff. Not saying this is the case here but you have people who are anti social because they spent their whole adolescence trying to test well and retest. Colleges can see right through it. There are no shortcuts. His “credentials” obviously meant nothing in context

A young man was just rejected from every college he applied to except for UMass Amherst despite a 1580 SAT, being valedictorian of his class, getting 18 5s on AP tests, and having his own startup website making thousands of dollars a year. Obviously, this kid is talented enough to succeed without needing any credential. But why are we giving hundreds of billions of dollars to universities so stupid they won't offer this kid an admission because of his skin color (and let's be honest, that's why he was rejected everywhere)? Defund the college scam.

Approx. 40% of Social Security direct deposit fraud is associated with fraudsters calling SSA on the phone and changing the direct deposit bank account from the correct one to a fraudulent one. Starting on March 29, in order to change the direct deposit bank account, one can: -Change it online using 2FA (Call Center Technicians available to assist beneficiaries with website) -Change it in person at a SSA Service Center This is identical to the fraud protections at almost all major banks, where deposit changes are made either online or in person. All other SSA phone services remain unchanged.
