Today I want to recognize the passing of an invaluable member of the Edmonton community: Kyle Dubé. Kyle served as the Executive Director for @YOUCANEdmonton, a role that helped him change the lives of many youth across the city. When we lose a community leader like Kyle, the impact is felt not only by the people closest to him. It is felt by everyone who experienced Kyle’s passion for social justice, felt comforted by his words in their time of loss, and saw the power of the kindness and patience he brought to his work every day.    On behalf of City Council, we have sent a copy of this proclamation to Kyle’s family in St. Albert as they celebrate his life today.

💔 I’m heartbroken. My father died this week. He was the best dad you could ask for. He made me the person I am today. He inspired me to become a journalist. He made me a sports fan. I’m grateful all of us (my mom, 7 daughters and a son) were all by his side to say goodbye💔
