The Beatles, sports, news and hearing the word “no” comprised the soundtrack of my adolescence. Sad to now hear the end of CBS News Radio is effective May 22, 2026.

from MLB Tonight Sunday Scorecard “…girlfriend…Mom…Dad…everybody…” Glad to be one of the people in the everybody category this afternoon as Spencer Jones got his first hit and the Brewers walked it off.

Yankee’s Aaron Judge is indeed a large man but he completely disappears behind my double cheeseburger.

With the exception of dozens of compilation, remixed, live, anthology, bootleg and solo albums, this was pretty much it… The Beatles last album released 56 years ago today, May 8, 1970.

Basking in the conclusion of a triumphant tour to the United States, King Charles is telling his friends back in England that the 750 gallon bottle of Prosecco at Costco was “brilliant, top notch”and “proper good.”

I was gifted a bottle of bourbon aged in new oak, then finished in a tequila cask (typically reposado or añejo). I thought it would be appropriate to save it for Cinco de Mayo. I also think it would be prudent to wait until cinco o’clock.

I pledged not to eat fast food in May but gerrymandered a map to carve out my office. Supreme Court of the Galactic Republic upheld my ability to do so.  Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fries & Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots are decent. BBQ Bounty Whopper was pretty good. #MayThe4thBeWithYou

Speaking of gas prices… I’ve long wondered about the use of Regular vs. Premium. And, as usual, I turn to the lessons baseball has taught me for the answer to life’s difficult questions… #ThisIsMyCrew

Mary Hopkin turns 76 today. Paul McCartney wrote a hit for her and produced a hit for her when she was 18. Those were the days!

Since it is for science and research, I’d be willing to donate my extensive vintage psychedelic eight track tape collection.

Woodford Reserve gets a lot of attention on the first Saturday in May as the presenting sponsor of The Kentucky Derby. We’ve been satisfied consumers pretty much every day that ends in a Y.

It is finally May. Burger King’s Mandalorian and Grogu themed menu debuts May 4th. McDonalds’s “Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85″ Happy Meal comes out May 5th. Still no word on Arby’s anticipated DTF St. Louis meal deal.

This, and the 45° with rain today, reminds me of playing softball two days a week in late April.

The world’s first chatbot was actually developed by a computer scientist at MIT all the way back in 1966. Look it up. Or better yet, just ask your AI-powered, human-like virtual companion about it.

I gotta admit that when the Brewers said a Pro Bowler was throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Green Bay’s Keisean Nixon wasn’t the first person that came to mind…
