Two days of successful meetings, two great networking parties, over 200 international delegates… #StudyWorld Manchester was a huge success! With lots of wonderful feedback from educators, agents, and service providers, we’re already getting excited for next year’s event.

Thank you for attending #StudyWorld Manchester - we hope to see you again at #StudyWorld Brighton 2026. @englishuk chair Shoko Doherty said: “The feedback has been fantastic. The quality of agents has been fantastic, it was very well organised and it was nice to see part of Manchester thanks to @englishuknorth.”
#StudyWorld Manchester has now ended, with the hall still buzzing till the end. @englishuk CEO Jodie says: “It’s been great to have such a positive response to our decision to hold the event in Manchester for the first time. Schedules were 90% full and everyone was happy to be here. Hopefully this wasn’t the last time we’re here - and see you in Brighton in 2026!” #UKELT
“It’s great to be a sponsor - it is getting people to us,” says Rob Tuck of @CESschools. He adds: “It’s absolutely fabulous having #StudyWorld in the north of England and I’m delighted we’re going to Brighton next year - it’s good to showcase all parts of the UK.” #UKELT
Alasdair Connet of @stacls_summer is another #StudyWorld sponsor. “We’re very happy to be in Manchester- the agents are really good quality, from different countries and a mix of new and existing partners. We’ve also got Fam trips going to Scotland and England. This is our second time as sponsors and we find the exposure really useful - people recognise our brand.” #UKELT
#StudyWorld wouldn’t be the event it is without our generous sponsors. Katie Hayes of @ihmanchester said: “We love it- so many people have come by and said thank you for sponsoring it. Having the stand makes us a bit more high profile and we’d much rather have the opportunity to do four or five bigger events than six or seven smaller.” #UKELT
Luciano Baldauf of Brazilian agency Global Active Study has lived in the UK for 23 years “but this is my first time in Manchester, which is great.” Going to #StudyWorld Brighton 2026? “I should think so - I live there!” #UKELT
Andrew Ballam-Davies of @hostsint was rather surprised when someone pointed out he was in the #StudyWorld event guide - he’d missed it. “It’s wonderful here and nice to come out of London for a change. We operate in 22 cities and try to do something with all of them.”
Mark Globe of transport provider INTX is also happy with his first #StudyWorld. “It’s the perfect size - it’s small enough to be intimate but big enough to have breadth. My schedule has been jam packed.” #UKELT
Hui Gao is an accidental agent: writing about her bad experiences with a Chinese agent she has ended up helping hundreds of students study at St Giles in London. Noe she’s at #StudyWorld to meet more schools. “Other agents told me I should come to StudyWorld and it’s really good,” she said.
“The vibe is really good. Everyone is here and happy to be here and ready to work which is exactly what you want in a workshop. It’s the right size to get to know everybody and meet people several times to solidify the relationship,” says Nicola Lutz of No Fluff marketing.
Russian agent Inna Smith was attending her first international workshop- after 12 years in the business. “I’m having a fantastic time - one of my schools told me about this. There are a lot of new people here I can work with.”
More benefits of hosting #StudyWorld in Manchester: @EssentialEng’s Jo and Bairbre had Manchester’s Director of Tourism Nick Brooks-Sykes sit in on their meetings to better understand the #UKELT industry. “He wants to meet all 13 Manchester schools to better understand the synergies and where he can support,” said Jo.
“I’m an evangelist for #StudyWorld moving outside London - #UKELT is UK-wide and it makes sense. It’s an USP and you’ll get a different reception from agents by moving it round. I’d personally like to see it in Edinburgh after Brighton 2026,” says Simon Thorley of @IntuitionLang
James Ong-Fox of @TwinEnglish is enjoying Manchester (and the chance to show off his penalty-taking skills). “It’s great to get out of the city every now and again - and I’m looking forward to Brighton in 2026 as well.” #StudyWorld#UKELT
@englishuknorth’s party at the National Football Museum - complete with penalty shoot-outs and other games - was hugely popular. Rowan Courts and Katie Smith of @PadworthCollege summer school said: “How good it was up north tonight! We’ve done a lot of interactive things with agents rather than stand around and have a drink.” #StudyWorld#UKELT
@studyBayswater’s Leigh McIntyre is enjoying #StudyWorld. “The reception was really good and it felt vibier. The agents are good and it’s small enough that you can speak to absolutely anyone.” #UKELT
“I was very interested that you organised the event outside of London - that’s very nice. I think it’s a great opportunity for us to get to know more about a city and the potential for students. I love that this is not in London,” says Paola Gonzalez Gimenez of Linguistic Links in Spain. #UKELT#StudyWorld#Manchester
