@polkapea venous bleeding is going to be a steady stream of blood with a darker red color than capillary or arterial blood! higher risk of bleeding out than the typical cut which has capillary bleeding!

@irlroderich9033 just saw this again and saw the part about the vein!! put consistent pressure on the wound! even justa cotton swab under the bandage will be better than nothing, but if you can use a gauze wrap and do that with twists over the open wound, that’s a good strategy. Stay safe!

@irlroderich9033 please make sure the wound is clean! trashed blades can be a fast way to get an infection

i had a blade in my trash bag and apparently it was poking out of the bag and i stepped on it and nicked a vein on the bottom of my foot. (the bag is on the ground) also slight foot reveal (also my 4th band aid)

maybe ill post an aftercare guide(nobody will see it) too many ppl that think H2O2 and alcohol are the best things to clean fresh wounds with

@bloodbiterr its not ! neither is alcohol or iodine since they irritate the tissue further and can slow healing! ofc they work if you’re in a pinch, but gentle soap and water or sterile saline wound wash will do you a lot better!

just found out hydrogen peroxide actually ISNT good to put on cuts to clean them
