@sunsetmoder Well I don't have many cls friends(not intentional) but if someone can't understand being trans there's no reason for me to attempt a friendship with them. I also wish that people would understand but it feels pointless to me :(

i wonder if the understanding of transsexualism as an intersex condition effecting the mind were more common, if people would see our surgeries as reconstructive too. im gonna have another drink now

Consider the double standard of language: if you are regarded as "cis", regardless of intersex status, then what you receive is 'reconstructive surgery'. If you are regarded as "trans", regardless of intersex status, emotionally manipulative language like 'mutilation' is used.

I have so many doubts about this. You wouldn't be put on puberty blockers and oestrogen at the same time and nor would they cause haematuria or ulcers in the bladder.

@trvkemoder i’m not sure. I think often times my dysphoria can be disabling, but dysphoria is a byproduct of transsexualism. I don’t think being trans is a disorder or disability, but the trauma of growing up in the wrong body can cause alot of issues
