@VictorAkinode @ibrahim_modiu Here is another question: are the courses from each path free?
English

Here are SOC certifications and training paths you can take for free:
1. Coursera – Security Operations Center (SOC) Fundamentals
Covers core SOC concepts, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
coursera.org/learn/security…
2. Cisco SOC Analyst (CCST)
Entry-level cybersecurity certification under Cisco’s career track.
netacad.com/career-paths/c…
3. TryHackMe – SOC Level 1 Path
Hands-on blue team labs covering log analysis, SIEM basics, and detection skills.
tryhackme.com/path/outline/s…
4. LetsDefend – SOC Analyst Path
Realistic SOC simulation platform where you investigate alerts and respond to incidents.
app.letsdefend.io/path/soc-analy…
5. Splunk Fundamentals 1
Introductory course focused on using Splunk for log analysis, a key SOC skill.
splunk.com/en_us/training…
Each of these provides free training, and most offer an official certificate or badge at no cost.
The barrier is not money.
The barrier is discipline.

@AlteredSecurity I am interested in CRTE because I already failed it twice. I heard 3rd time is a charm. I’d like to challenge it again with more detail notes I have now.

I just got my CRTO from @_ZeroPointSec. I don't normally stealth around, but working with CS was interesting. The labs help get familiar with the env and put some finishing touches on your tools. The exam is straightforward so you can focus on OPSEC. #CRTO

@AlteredSecurity I am interested in CARTP. Main reason being I already have somewhat experienced in Active Directory but lacking the cloud side. Learning cartp course wil full fill that gap. And I really like the way Altered Security structure their courses and how they teach
