Startup Nightmare: One fake complaint & your entire brand is fighting for justice instead of building. Impersonation scams are everywhere but who becomes the victims, Founders. This isn't a small issue because the brand reputation is at risk. One impersonator, one complaint and without verification Coindcx co-founders 'Sumit Gupta' & 'Neeraj Khandelwal' were dragged from Bengaluru to Thane, and all this happened on weekend. Thane police arrested the founders without proper verification, no investigation, no deep check on domains. The victim later submitted an affidavit admitting he was cheated by imposters, not by sumit or Neeraj. Finally court granted bail, The magistrate clearly noted that some other person impersonating the founders had cheated.. But it was too late, the damage was already done. Nation builders deserve better.
