📱✨: In a million-dollar move boosting the "Made in India" initiative, Tata Group is set to start the assembly of Apple iPhones in India after Wistron Corp. (3231. TW) approved the sale of its Indian manufacturing unit.
Deputy Minister for Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar announced on social media that the approval by Wistron means that the company will start making iPhones in India for domestic and global markets.
Reportedly, the Wistron board approved the sale of Wistron InfoComm Manufacturing India Private Limited to Tata Electronics Private Limited for an estimated $125 million.
Earlier, Tata Group was in talks with Taiwan-based Wistron to purchase its iPhone manufacturing facility in India. Meanwhile, Apple was interested in India as its next big growth driver after China.
Further, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stated previously that Apple exported $5 billion (roughly Rs. 41,200 crores) worth of goods from India in 2022, noting that the company plans to produce 25 per cent of global units in the country within the next four to five years.

💔HEART-BREAKING: An Israeli soldier sings his country's national anthem inside a home destroyed by the Palestinian group Hamas amid the ongoing violent war.
Initially, the video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The soldier sang his national anthem 'Hatikvah' and played the piano in a destroyed home.
"In a destroyed home in a community attacked by Hamas terrorists, a soldier sings the Israeli anthem. Hamas will not ruin our spirits," the Israeli Defense Forces wrote, sharing the video.
As the war triggered after Hamas stormed into Israel from the Gaza Strip, Israel has declared a total siege on Gaza and cut off supplies of water, electricity, fuel, and food, creating chronic shortages.
Meanwhile, Israel has also launched a bombing campaign that has leveled entire city blocks in Gaza, so far killing over 4,000 Palestinians.
Lately, Israel has also laid out three phases in its war against Hamas, at the end of which they plan to establish a "new security regime" in the Gaza Strip. Currently, the war has led to thousands of casualties and the displacement of people.
